But after much deliberation (and boredom), I’ve decided to give it another shot. I have no idea what I’ll be talking about, but I’m sure I’ll make something up as always.

PS: I dedicate this blog to my loving wife, Hala. She deserves the best, if only for having the patience to put up with my shenanigans.

It’s funny how people succeed in life. I say it’s funny because a lot of the time you don't need to be particularly good at anything. Take, for example, Jennifer Lopez. She can’t sing and she certainly can’t act. Yet, she is a popular singer and actor. Weird. Kinda gets you to think, doesn't it? It seems that there is a certain unknown factor that has more weight in the "success scale" than skill and hard-work. I dunno, maybe it's just luck.

Have you ever thought about nanotechnology? I mean REALLY thought about it? I never gave it much thought until I came across this link: http://www.zurich.ibm.com/st/storage/millipede.html

The people at IBM have developed a storage medium capable of fitting 25 DVDs on something the size of your fingernail. Now scientists have been working on making tiny things for quite a while. There have been prototype nanobots – or really small robots – that basically do nothing. General Motors developed a method to create microscopic gears that use a new lubrication method that almost eliminate friction. Lots of high tech stuff. The question that remains is what do they plan do with this kind of technology? There are always the pessimistic groups that are convinced that governments around the world will use this technology to spy on everyone. These people need to realize that nobody gives a shit about what they're doing with their lives. The other, more optimistic, groups are those that think that such advancements in the realm of science will help better the lives of all humanity and end world hunger. These people need to realize that they are idiots.
